The last thing a teenager wants

The last thing a teenager wants is to be sat down for a serious group photo.
But it had to be done!
These are the orphans soon to graduate from the Children’s Village at Kobryn in Belarus.
Five will go to university, the rest to trade school.
These orphans will have to leave behind everything they’ve grown up with.
So we hope to equip each of these young people with a Life Starter Kit:
Blanket and sheets; pillow, pillowcases, other bedding; towels; electric kettle; kitchenware; iron; table lamp—
and for the university students, a laptop and supplies.
Inflation has hit hard this year; each Kit will cost an average of $570 — so it will take a total of $8550.
But longtime partners of New Thing have come forward with an awesome Matching Challenge:
IF friends like you will give a total of $3550, they’ll kick in $5000 to close the gap.
This is pretty cool — Every $35.50 given today becomes $85.50. A donation of $71 becomes $171.
So I’m hoping you’ll give whatever you feel comfortable with, to make sure every graduating orphan receives a Life Starter Kit.
But whether you give or not, thanks for journeying with New Thing!
Much love,
Doug Brendel
