7 kids (after the littlest one gets in there) ...
3 photos...
1 common denominator: joy.
Look at those eyes.
Those smiles.
Even the ones who can’t seem to smile at first ... can’t resist!
These are children in Zhodino, Belarus.
Friends of New Thing started helping this shelter 20 years ago, long before any of these children were born.
Then we built an after-school center on one end of the building, to help keep at-risk children from ever needing the shelter.
You can’t tell which of these kids are “shelter” kids and which are “after-school” kids.
All you can tell is, they’re loved.
And they know they’re loved.
You can tell because they feel free to fool around a little for photographer Oleg.
God bless all who give to New Thing so faithfully, to help kids like these, and others in need of all ages, all over Belarus, through the tireless work of our “Response of the Heart” team.
More adventures to come!
Thanks for journeying with New Thing.
Much love,
Doug Brendel
