It hardly seems possible, but it was 10 years ago...
Kristina was in the town of Dzerzhinsk, Belarus, visiting the home of a beautiful young woman named Zhenya.
Zhenya and her mom are part of a mutual-support group for families of children with disabilities.
• You can see the photo report from Kristina’s visit 10 years ago, here.
• And you can see my original photo report from 2013 here. (There’s a brief but pretty cool video embedded in it too.)
• We also produced Look at Us, a book of portraits of these families, photographed by our dear friend Oleg Yarovenko. You can see the book here (or even buy it here).
Bottom line: Friends of New Thing have been helping Belarusian children with disabilities, and their families, for a LONG time.
Not to mention helping orphans, foster families, homeless people, abused and abandoned children, hospital patients, and others in need, all over Belarus.
And you’re still at it!
God bless you for your generosity.
Thanks for journeying with New Thing!
More adventures to come!
Much love,
Doug Brendel
