Just a brief personal note ... It was 25 years ago this week that I first visited Belarus.
Kristina had already been a volunteer with CitiHope International, a charity delivering humanitarian aid to Belarus in those days.
In fact, Kristina had been visiting Belarus for 8 years. It took her all that time to convince me to go with her.
Now, finally, I went with her. Just once!, I figured.
If you had told me that day that I would still be serving in Belarus 25 years later, I’d have laughed.
Today, if I’m laughing, it’s only the laughter of joy.
It has been an honor to serve people in need across Belarus all these years, through the faithful service of our “Response of the Heart” team in Minsk.
And I’m truly grateful for the many folks like you, who have given so generously in support of the work.
